The Great Outdoors | Design for Australian Living and Landscape

The Great Outdoors reflects a legacy defined through material honesty, local production, environmental responsiveness, and an enduring connection to place - shaping how we gather and dwell.
As part of Melbourne Design Week 2026, Mark Tuckey presents The Great Outdoors - a collection exploring contemporary outdoor living through material honesty, refined proportion and an enduring connection to place.
Bringing together seating, dining and occasional pieces for residential and commercial settings, the collection is crafted from reclaimed and sustainably managed Australian hardwoods, celebrating the natural density, grain and variation of solid timber.
The Great Outdoors reflects a slower, more considered approach to outdoor living - one grounded in honest materials, local production, and environmental responsiveness.
Presented within an immersive understory environment created in collaboration with Eckersley Garden Architecture, the collection sits amongst a planted landscape inspired by native forest ecologies, where furniture and flora exist in quiet dialogue.
