Mark Tuckey x Main Studio | The Making of Material
On Wednesday the 21st of May, as part of Melbourne Design Week, Mark Tuckey and Main Studio partnered to exhibit The Making Of Material at the Mark Tuckey workshop in Thornbury. Guests gathered for an engaging evening that explored the intersection of design, agroforestry, and community.
This included a showcase of furniture pieces made from agroforestry timber, designed by Bronwen Main in collaboration with Mark Tuckey and screening of documentary short film directed by Grace Moore. Followed by a panel discussion with the designers, growers, manufacturer and film maker.
In line with this year's MDW theme 'Design The World You Want' - The Making Of Material brought awareness through the exploration of agroforestry, its importance and potential impact on the future of Australian design.
